Shyam Impett
Shyam Impett is an unorthodox, daring, and deeply dedicated pioneer in Sri Lankan Professional Sports and Celebrity Management.
A founding member of ESPN Cricinfo.com, he is also recognized as a key figure in ushering in the “Digital Media” age in Sri Lanka.
A former National Athlete and Olympic qualifier in the 400m sprint, Shyam possesses a passion for creating and scaling new ventures. His latest success is the Karma Fight League (KFL), which has rapidly become the leading combat sports league in the nation within its first year.
Through his company, Diversity Management Limited, Shyam holds ownership stakes in the Kandy Falcons team in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) and the Sri Lanka Legends team participating in the Road Safety World Series. Diversity Management, initially rooted in cricket, boasts over 20 years of experience managing professional athletes, including international stars such as Wanindu Hasaranga, Angelo Mathews, Andre Russel, Andre Fletcher, Tamim Iqbal, Yousuf Pathan, Sanath Jayasuriya, Russel Arnold, Upul Tharanga, and Romesh Kaluwitharana.
Shyam’s involvement extends to team management, having served as the Manager and Selector for the Sri Lanka Legends team in 2020 and 2022 (both years reaching the finals), Director of Operations for the inaugural LPL champion team, Jaffna Stallions, and Co-Owner and CEO of the Kandy Falcons franchise in the 2022 LPL season. He also held the position of Manager/Director of Operations for the 2023 LPL Champions, B-Love Kandy.
Beyond his entrepreneurial and management roles, Shyam is a life coach, motivational speaker, and a proud advocate for Sri Lanka.
